For the past 4 years, a Tulsa minister has broadcast the Christian gospel to millions of people in his native Iran and elsewhere in the Middle East via satellite. But if you think Christianity is a tough sell in the Muslim world, Tulsa Pastor Reza Safa of the Fishermen's House Church has a message; military force will not work.
Safa led a Prayer March for Peace on Tuesday. He urges radical Muslims to reject violence. And he wants them to convert to Christianity. Safa was a radical Muslim who converted. He says the Christian beliefs of love and forgiveness is the only way to stop terrorism.
"Because radical Islam grows if you hit it physically. The harder you hit it, the more of it you have to fight. It's an ideology, and unless we fight it on that front, we will not win it," says Pastor Reza Safa.
Safa broadcasts in his native language of Farsi or Persian. Eventually, Pastor Reza Safa hopes to broadcast in Arabic in the future in hopes of reaching even more Muslims.
Pastor Reza Safa's group marched along Tulsa’s Riverside Drive Tuesday afternoon to Johnson Park.
