STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ An Oklahoma State fraternity involved in a hazing incident has been suspended by the fraternity's national office for five years.

6 members of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity are accused of beating pledges with wooden paddles, injuring one man so severely he will require plastic surgery to replace missing skin.

Hazing was banned in Oklahoma in 1990.

Payne County District Attorney Rob Hudson said the hazing allegation involved a group of five pledges, but he chose to prosecute the men on behalf of one pledge whose injuries were most severe.
